The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) announced its schedule with the host countries of the U19 and U21 World Championships on the 10th.

The Women's U19 World Championship will be co-hosted by Croatia and Serbia from July 7-20 next year. The Men's U19 World Championship will be held from July 21 to Aug. 3 in Uzbekistan.

The Women's U21 World Championships will be held in Indonesia from Aug. 4-17 next year, and the men's competition will be held in China from Aug. 18-31.

Coincidentally, this year's Korean men's and women's U20 teams both qualified for next year's world championships at the Asian Championships, but all U18 teams failed to qualify for the world championships.

The players who dominated this year's U20 national team are Lee Woo-jin (Vero Bali Monza) and Kim Se-bin (Korea Expressway Corporation).

The Korean men's U20 national team has been led by coach Kim Jang-bin. Starting with "overseas" outside heater Lee Woo-jin, Yoon Seo-jin (KB Insurance), Libero Kang Seung-il (copyright), setter Kim Kwan-woo (Cheonan High School), Apogit Yoon Kyung (Male High School), and outside heater Yoon Ha-joon (Suseong High School) are all members of the team. Chances are high that the team will also play in the U21 World Championship next year.

In particular, expectations are high for the men's volleyball team, which is called the golden generation, following the "99s" of players born in 1999, such as Lim Dong-hyuk (national sports unit), Lim Sung-jin (Korea Electric Power Company), and Park Kyung-min (Hyundai Capital).

According to the current FIVB men's U19 ranking, Korea is ranked fourth. The U21 ranking is tied for 16th. In 2019, Korea ranked seventh at the World Youth Championships. Attention is focusing on the future of Korean men's volleyball, which will make it to the world stage again in six years.

The women's U20 national team, led by head coach Jang Yoon-hee, formed a team of 188cm middle blocker Kim Se-bin, setter Kim Dae-eun (Korea Expressway Corporation), outside heaters Kwak Sun-ok (director Jung), Lee Joo-ah (GS Caltex), Apogit Shin Eun-ji (Korea Expressway Corporation), and Libero Park Chae-min (GS Caltex), who succeeded in advancing to the semifinals at the Asian Championship and won the World Championship ticket.

Korean women's volleyball has been on the stage of the World Youth Championship for the first time in 14 years since the 2011 tournament.

Korea's FIVB women's U19 and U21 rankings are 22nd and 19th, respectively. Attention is focusing on whether Korean women's volleyball, which has taken the opportunity for the first time in 14 years, will be able to elevate its ranking.
